O'Neill + Maurer JD

Earn your O'Neill degree plus a law degree in just six years

If you are a high-achieving undergraduate O’Neill student who matriculated with sufficient Advanced Placement or other advanced-standing credits, you may be able to earn your bachelor's degree from O’Neill and a J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in six years, rather than the usual seven.

Recipients of an IU academic Dean's, Provost’s, or IU Global Engagement Scholarship can apply the fourth year of their award toward their law school tuition at Maurer through the IU Pathways Scholarship Program. This saves you time and money.

How to take advantage of this opportunity

  1. Apply for admission to study in Maurer’s J.D. program during your third undergraduate year
  2. Take the LSAT exam prior to submitting your law school admission application
  3. Complete all of your undergraduate degree requirements
  4. Fulfill all the criteria for admission into the Maurer School of Law, which will follow Maurer’s usual admission procedures, including character and fitness requirements
