Other funding opportunities for your O’Neill undergraduate degree
AES Engineering Scholarships
This scholarship for future leaders across many fields of study (engineering courses are not required) is based on essay responses rather than GPA.
Boren Undergraduate Scholarships
Provides funding for undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in areas of the world critical to U.S. interest, and also study in areas under represented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Churchill Scholarship
You must be nominated by IU for this award which provides support for one year of graduate study in engineering, math, or science at Churchill College, Cambridge University. There is a single application for the Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, and Churchill Scholarships.
Gates Cambridge Scholarship
For students from outside the UK, this award provides the full cost for postgraduate study in any academic subject available at the University of Cambridge
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
This supports graduating seniors by funding study, senior thesis research, or internships in Germany in a broad range of disciplines. It covers the cost of study abroad in Germany and German Universities and provides a stipend.
Luce Scholarship
This provides language training, stipends, and individualized professional placement in Asia. You must be nominated by IU.
Marshall Scholarship
For students who plan to pursue one to three years of graduate study at almost any university inthe United Kingdom, and nominated by Indiana University. There is a single application for the Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, and Churchill Scholarships.
Mitchell Scholarship
You must be nominated by IU for this award which provides support for one academic year of postgraduate study at institutions of higher learning in Ireland, including the seven universities in the Republic of Ireland and the two in Northern Ireland.
The Morris Udall Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship
For environmental studies or a related field OR a Native American student with outstanding potential infields related to health care or tribal public policy. You must be nominated by IU.
Rhodes Scholarship
This award provides support for two years of graduate study at Oxford University. There is a single application for the Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, and Churchill Scholarships. You must be nominated by IU.
Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship
Juniors interested in graduate study in international affairs and international careers can apply for this fellowship, funded by the U.S. Department of State, and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
Fulbright Grants, Fellowships, and Awards
Numerous opportunities, including study/research grants, English teaching assistant grants, travel grants, critical language enhancement awards, and more. Depending on the award, funding could include transportation, room/board, tuition, or book and research allowances.
