We award fellowships and a number of RA positions each academic year. These are determined by our Ph.D. in Environmental Science Committee. Fellowships are awarded to selected students for a period of anywhere from one to up to four years. Typically a fellowship provides a stipend and a fee remission for an academic year. Fellowship recipients must be enrolled for a minimum of eight credit hours per semester.
Students in the Ph.D. in Environmental Science program are strongly encouraged to gain some instructional experience. The nature and amount of teaching undertaken by a doctoral student varies according to individual goals. Each student should discuss their teaching interests and goals with their major advisor, advisory committee, and program director.
