Areas to Support

Philanthropic support helps the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs go from good to great. Tuition and state funding make the classroom experience possible, but our community of donors help expose students to outside speakers who are leaders in their fields, offer students opportunities to attend conferences valuable for their professional networking, make the educational experience affordable for students of all backgrounds, and so much more.

You can be a part of securing a world-class education for students who wish to lead for the greater good. Keep reading below to find O’Neill School funds in need of support.

Highlighted opportunities

The Neil Nielsen Fund

The Local Government Management (LGM) concentration emphasizes a broad set of skills, including management and delivery of municipal services, values and ethics, human resource management, policy analysis, and much more. A key experience we want every LGM student to have is attending the annual International City/County Management Association (ICMA) conference. Your contribution to the Neil Nielsen Fund, named for a beloved professor at the O’Neill School, provides general support to the Local Government Management concentration, including travel expenses, scholarships for professional development opportunities such as ICMA, and more.
