Gain real-world experience as a key part of your graduate degree

As a graduate student at the O’Neill School, gaining real-world experience through an internship is a key part of your education. Depending on your degree program, you may be required to complete an internship for credit. 

Master of Public Affairs (MPA), Master of Environmental Science (MSES), and MPA-MSES dual degree students must complete at least 120 internship hours and register for 0 credit hours. For every additional 80 hours worked at the internship, they can choose to earn 1 credit hour, up to a total of 6 credits.

Master of Arts in Arts Administration (MAAA) and MAAA-MPA dual degree students must complete at least 280 internship hours and register for 0 credit hours. They can choose to register for up 3 credits.
