For Incoming Students

The O’Neill School offers select scholarship opportunities to our incoming students

College is an investment, but we feel strongly that it should also be affordable. To help, we offer a variety of scholarships for motivated incoming students.

To be eligible for one of these scholarships, you must submit a complete admissions application by November 1, list an O’Neill major as your intended program of study, and meet the criteria for Direct Admission.

Once you receive notification of your Direct Admission, you will be invited to complete a Selective Scholarship Application.

To be considered for one of these scholarships, you must complete your Selective Scholarship Application by February 1.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The O'Neill Scholars Award is an award that recognizes both accomplishment and potential as a high-achieving student who is ready to lead for the greater good in public and environmental affairs. Students who are recipients of this award will have demonstrated academic excellence. Recipients will receive $9,000 per year for up to four years.

The Boch Family Scholarship provides undergraduate scholarships for incoming freshmen in the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs who have a record of academic excellence and financial need. In order to be considered for the Boch Family Scholarship, you must complete a FAFSA.

The Academic Leadership Award is offered to high-achieving students who are ready to make an impact and become leaders in the field of public and environmental affairs. Recipients will have demonstrated academic excellence as well as financial need.

The Indiana Leadership Award is offered to high-achieving in-state students who are incoming freshmen and provides priority admission into the Indiana Leadership Program, a valuable internship program through O'Neill's Undergraduate Programs Office. Recipients will have demonstrated academic excellence as well as financial need.

This award is offered through the Integrated Program in the Environment to high-achieving students who are directly admitted to one of the joint environmental degree programs affiliated with the Integrated Program in the Environment – the Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Sustainability Studies or the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.
