A skilled facilitator and educator, Dr. Gwen White thrives on clearly communicating complex issues, untangling situations rife with conflict, and supporting diverse community collaborations for resource management. She has held positions in state and federal government, private communications consulting, aquaculture extension, and university teaching. Technical specialties include non-point source pollution, invasive species control, land use effects on aquatic resources, coral reef and inland aquatic ecosystems, professional diversity, parliamentary procedure, and aquatic stewardship education.
As science coordinator for US FWS Eastern Tallgrass Prairie & Big Rivers, she developed and equipped the landscape conservation community in this lower Midwest region, focusing on prairie restoration, river restoration, agroecology, and urban conservation. With the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, she served as a biologist overseeing lake management grants. With DJ Case, she specialized in communications, including all aspects of facilitation, public engagement, media campaigns, website content, and meeting logistics.
