Biography
Wilson Shitandi joined the Undergraduate Programs Office in September 2023. Before joining the O'Neill School, Wilson worked as an adjunct faculty member at the Jacobs School of Music. He brings over 20 years of work experience in higher education having held roles as a music educator, associate dean of a school of music, and directing postgraduate studies at Kabarak University in Kenya. Shitandi holds a Bachelor of Education Honors and Master of Arts in Musicology from Kenyatta University and a collaborative doctorate in Ethnomusicology from University of Mainz Germany and Kenyatta University in Kenya. He is currently pursuing a graduate program in academic advising though the IU School of Education. He loves singing in Voces Novae, being on the board for the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, and going to Switchyard Park with his beautiful dog, Dolly.
