If you want to know how O’Neill honors student Ryan Maddox went from breakdancing at the Indiana Memorial Union Starbucks to investment banking in New York City, you need to understand his life philosophy.
“I believe in pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. To see how different parts of the world work together, you need to be willing to try new things,” Maddox said.
Although he had never tried breakdancing before, he took a chance during a student activities fair his freshman year and ended up with a new hobby and a new group of friends.
This same strategy led him to join the O'Neill and Hutton Honors programs.
