BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Kosali Simon, a distinguished professor at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, has been invited to join the editorial board of the Journal of American Medical Association Health Forum. This prestigious appointment recognizes Simon’s expertise in health policy and economics, and her significant contributions to the field.
JAMA Health Forum, part of the JAMA Network, is a leading journal specializing in health policy and health services research. In her role, Simon will serve a two-year term, providing strategic advice on select manuscripts and policy matters.

Simon’s new role with JAMA Health Forum complements her existing editorial responsibilities at the Journal of Health Economics and the Journal of Human Resources. Simon is a nationally known health economist who specializes in applying economic analysis in the context of health insurance and health care policy. Her current research mainly focuses on the causal impacts of health policy on care and health outcomes. She also is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
