BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Aaron Deslatte, an associate professor at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, has been appointed as an associate editor for the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, one of the field’s premier academic journals.
Deslatte will help shape the journal's direction by evaluating and guiding research that advances the theory and practice of public administration. His expertise on how public managers promote economic, environmental, and social sustainability to advance sustainable economic and community development at the local and metropolitan levels strengthens JPART’s mission to publish high-quality, broadly relevant scholarship on public administration, policy, and management.
“It’s fantastic to get to work with such a talented team on the flagship research journal in public administration,” said Deslatte, who also directs the Metropolitan Governance and Management Transitions Laboratory. “I will help guide the theoretical development and methodological rigor of our field at a critical time where the difficulties governing and managing complex societal challenges require a more prominent role for public administration scholarship.”
JPART is widely recognized for publishing cutting-edge research that informs and transforms the study and practice of public administration. It seeks to advance public administration scholarship by publishing the highest quality theoretical and empirical work in the field. The journal’s editorial team comprises esteemed scholars who work collaboratively to maintain its high standards and impact.
JPART is the official journal of the Public Management Research Association.
