Biography
Shuyi Deng joined the O'Neill School as an assistant professor in 2024, bringing expertise in nonprofit management and policy, social equity and justice, and policy analysis.
Deng's research focuses on the racial dynamics in the nonprofit sector and the distributional consequences of nonprofits and philanthropy along the line of race. Her work has appeared in Public Administrative Review; Journal of Economics, Race, and Policy; and The Encyclopedia of Nonprofit Management, Leadership and Governance, among others.
