The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs is a welcoming community. Admission is based primarily on your academic record and you must complete certain admission requirements prior to application.

12 total credits at Indiana University

  • Meeting admission eligibility does not guarantee admission. O’Neill will assess each application individually through a holistic review of a student's academic performance including (but not limited to):
    • O'Neill School GPA
    • semester GPA
    • quantitative course performance
    • personal statements
  • Students above 75 credit hours are eligible for admission but should make an appointment with a Pre-O’Neill advisor.
  • All students must maintain satisfactory academic progress to maintain O'Neill Prep status.
  • O'Neill Prep and AMES students will be unable to enroll in most 300/400 level O'Neill courses prior to admission.
