O’Neill master’s student Iris Sorrell turned her passion for food security into action through a capstone project in Knox County. Partnering with classmates, Associate Professor James Farmer, and local leaders, she helped evaluate emergency food systems, identify gaps, and deliver practical recommendations to strengthen resources for rural communities—work she hopes to continue throughout her career.
