O'Neill School shows strong presence at ARNOVA Conference 2023

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs has a long, proud history of collaboration and involvement with the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action, and the O’Neill School is looking forward to continuing that partnership during ARNOVA’s 52nd Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida November 15-18.

Eleven faculty members from both our Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, including Associate Professor Fredrik Andersson, Associate Professor Matt Baggetta, Clinical Associate Professor David Bell, Associate Professor Lehn Benjamin, Assistant Professor Leonor Camarena, Assistant Professor Vernise Estorcien, Associate Professor Brad Fulton, Professor Beth Gazley, Distinguished Professor Kirsten Grønbjerg, Professor Jill Nicholson-Crotty, and Associate Professor Allison Youatt Schnable, will be presenting at the conference, and a number of students will be attending as well. The O’Neill School, which is a sponsor of the event, will also host an exhibition table.

“At the O’Neill school, we’re seeing an ever-growing group of nonprofit scholars and students who are pursuing a wide range of interests and specialty areas,” said Grønbjerg, who also is a past president of ARNOVA. “It is a diverse and passionate group, and they are building on the strong foundation of those who have come before them. They have a deep appreciation for all that ARNOVA represents, and it’s wonderful to have colleagues and like-minded collaborators from whom we can learn so much.”

Grønbjerg also will serve as a speaker during the Distinguished Achievement Award Luncheon Nov. 16 from noon-1:30 p.m. Gazley and Ph.D. candidate Rachel Cash will be awarded the RGK-ARNOVA President’s Award for their project “Is the Nonprofit Social Safety Net Prepared for Climate Change?” Additionally, Fulton and IUPUI colleague David King will receive ARNOVA’s 2023 Data & Analytics Award for their project “Using Google Maps to Generate Organizational Sampling Frames.”
