
Biography
Maranna Yoder is an economist specializing in health and environmental economics. She joined O’Neill in 2025 after receiving her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland.
Her current research agenda investigates how environmental conditions, such as traffic-related air pollution and wildfire smoke exposure, affect health and human capital development. She also studies how access to maternal and reproductive health care shapes health outcomes and educational attainment.
Her research has been published in journals such as Medical Care, Health Affairs Scholar, and PLoS One. Her work has been supported by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
