Biography
Srikant Sastry is a retired leader in consulting and accounting organizations. He most recently served as managing partner, advisory services for Cherry Bekaert and on the firm’s leadership team where he was responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of a digitally driven, industry-aligned growth strategy.
Previously, Sastry served as Grant Thornton’s national managing principal of advisory services, including as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Global Advisory Steering Committee. Sastry has also served as an associate partner at IBM Business Consulting Services and principal consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He started his career in the federal government where he worked at the U.S. EPA, Office of Management and Budget, and Internal Revenue Service.
In 2019, Sastry was recognized by the O’Neill School with the Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2017, Consulting Magazine recognized Sastry as a “Top 25 Consultant.” He has also been named “Business Leader of the Year” by the Washington Business Journal and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. From 2015 to 2017, he served as board chairman of the Partnership Fund at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
Sastry currently serves as board chairman for the Consortium of Advanced Management-International (CAM-I), and as a board member on the Foundation Board of Directors for Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
Sastry received his B.A. in political science from University of Massachusetts Amherst, magna cum laude, his MPA from the O’Neill School, and his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.
