BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – O’Neill School, Hamilton Lugar School partners in Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs affiliation

The Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, in partnership with the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, is proud to announce that it is now an affiliate of the prestigious Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA).

APSIA is renowned for its commitment to advancing the education of international affairs professionals through a global network of member schools offering high-quality academic programs, cutting-edge research, and impactful public service initiatives. Becoming an affiliate of APSIA signifies a shared mission to cultivate leaders who are prepared to address the complex challenges of our interconnected world.

The Master of International Affairs program, a joint effort between the O’Neill School and Hamilton Lugar School, equips students with practical skills and in-depth knowledge essential for success in internationally oriented careers.

“Joining APSIA allows us to enhance our programs by connecting with other leading institutions that share our dedication to shaping our future,” said Siân Mooney, dean of the O’Neill School. “This collaboration offers tremendous opportunities for our students and faculty to engage with global issues in meaningful ways.”

APSIA is a community of top graduate schools around the world that are dedicated to improving graduate education in international affairs. Founded in 1989, APSIA has risen to be the leading graduate school association for international affairs schools. Its mission is to inspire global impact through education to advance understanding, peace, and prosperity through empowering students, institutions, and partners to become transformative agents of positive change.

The APSIA network includes 70 member and affiliate schools across 17 countries. APSIA connects prospective students and employers to member and affiliate schools, so that they can capitalize on the skills an APSIA education provides. Member institutions collaborate to address global challenges and opportunities through annual meetings, ongoing dialogue, and programming. Through these efforts, APSIA fosters collaboration, innovation, cooperation, and global leadership.

As an APSIA affiliate, both the O’Neill and Hamilton Lugar schools will gain access to a wide range of resources, including academic conferences and a vibrant network of global experts. The schools will have the opportunity to engage with APSIA’s extensive network, gaining insights and experiences that will enrich their academic offerings and professional growth.
