BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For most people, learning statistics is difficult and boring. Keeping an audience engaged with statistics can be challenging, but Brad Fulton, an associate professor at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, has found the formula.
With more than a decade of experience teaching statistics, Fulton has turned his course into a podcast. “Statistics Made Simple,” which introduces the statistical methods used to analyze data, has become the highest-ranked statistics podcast in the world.
“Statistics is a universal language, and it’s a skill that’s used in almost every discipline and industry,” Fulton said. “My podcast offers a simple and effective way to learn statistics. Most of my listeners are first-time learners, but others tune-in to refresh their understanding.”
“Statistics Made Simple” has been streamed more than 180,000 times by listeners in 147 countries, and the podcast features a host of glowing reviews from students, professors, and practitioners.
