Biography
Now retired, Tom Reilly was the president, CEO, and chairman of the board of the global chemical manufacturer, Reilly Industries, based in Indianapolis. He was also the president and CEO of the American Chemistry Council in Washington, D.C., and the past chairman of the Society of Chemical Industry (American Section), New York City.
Reilly has served as director on multiple corporate and industry boards including Bank One Corporation; Lilly Industries; REI Real Estate Services; HerffJones; One America; Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis; and BDP International, Philadelphia. His professional and board service is vast—he has served on the Indiana University Board of Trustees, and at high levels for the Midwest Proton Radiation Institute, Butler University, American Chemistry Council, and Indianapolis Children’s Museum, among others.
Reilly was honored with the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1987 and the Chemical Industry Medal from the Society of Chemical Industry in 2004.
He received his B.S. degree from Stanford and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
