O’Neill University Alumni Graduate Education Fellowship FAQ

   

The fellowship is equal to 25% of your tuition rate.

  • Any graduate of the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs on either the Bloomington or Indianapolis campus is eligible. This includes graduates from any O’Neill undergraduate or master’s degree program. This fellowship is a new initiative, beginning for the spring 2023 term. Only students starting a new degree program at that time are eligible for the fellowship.
  • Alumni who wish to receive this fellowship must apply yearly throughout the duration of their program, which includes filling out a brief form.

  • Alumni may use this fellowship for any master’s degree offered by the O’Neill School on either campus or online.
  • Doctoral, certificate programs, and Executive Education students are not eligible.

 

Yes, you are eligible to receive the fellowship during your graduate year(s). For example, an accelerated student would pay undergraduate tuition until receiving their bachelor’s degree and then be eligible for the Alumni Fellowship discount for their final year. 

If your program began in spring 2023 or later, you are eligible for the fellowship beginning in the spring 2023 term.

Students may be eligible for additional fellowships and scholarships.

Yes, you may be awarded the fellowship and an additional Graduate Assistantship or a Student Research Assistantship.

  • You must apply, which means filling out a brief form (yearly) to opt in and identify program credits for upcoming semesters of intended enrollment.
  • Students must also maintain good academic standing in their respective program to continue to be eligible to receive the fellowship. For example, if your program requires you to maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average, you must maintain that grade point average to receive the fellowship.
