Receive a top-ranked education at an affordable price

Value is important whether you’re studying online or on campus, and O’Neill’s reasonable tuition and financial aid options allow you to receive a top-ranked  education at an affordable price.

Prior professional experience tuition savings

MPA students can receive credit for 3 to 6 hours of course work—or more, in rare cases—for prior professional experience or service in the military, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, or Teach for America. That can translate to tuition savings of more than $3,700 for Indiana residents or $7,500 for nonresidents.

Students with significant senior level management experience in public affairs (including military service) may qualify for 9 to 12 hours of credit for professional experience, which translates to a potential savings of more than $7,000 for Indiana residents or $15,000 for nonresidents.

O’Neill Online 2020-21 tuition for the MPA and certificates is:

  • $619/credit hour for Indiana residents and qualifying military/veteran students
  • $1,268.75/credit hour for non-residents
  • $30/credit hour Distance Education Course Fee for all students

Most courses are 3 credit hours. Students typically enroll in one or two courses (3 to 6 credit hours) per semester or summer session.

All fees are subject to change without notice by action of the Trustees of Indiana University.
