Services, Training, and Technology
O’Neill IT offers a convenient and secure space for you to store your university data. Our server is approved for the storage of all types of institutional data. Our file server is encrypted at rest and in transition, and it is backed up and replicated in case of disaster.

Classroom Technology Services (CTS) provides multimedia equipment and display devices, training, and support to those teaching in general purpose classrooms.They can assist with the computer, projector, or any other equipment in those rooms.
The O’Neill IT Office provides web and application development, data management, and reporting services. Our Information Systems experts are on hand to assist you with these projects and requests.

IU has several videoconferencing tools available for use. These technologies tend to change often. Your best resource will be the IU Knowledge Base, where you can learn what tools are available, how to use them, and who to contact in case you need help.
As you know by now, phishing is a really big deal. The attempts are becoming more and more sophisticated, and they trick us all the time. It’s incredibly important that we remain diligent when we decide to click links and respond to emails that are sent to us, because as time moves forward, the sophistication of phishing attempts will undoubtedly increase. A simple mistake could result in a serious breach or extortion of your private, or financial information.
Responding to threats like phishing is unfortunately an uphill battle, and as inconvenient as it is, it’s important that we all slow down and critically read our emails in an attempt to determine their legitimacy. More importantly, however, we need to stay educated on what phishing looks like, and how phishing attempts differ from legitimate emails we receive from our IU colleagues and services.
Phishing is such a problem that UITS has created an entire site about it, with tons of important, constantly changing information. Go there and read it all, and then read it again. It’s really important.
At this point, there are very few people who have not had their credit or debit card information stolen, resulting in fraudulent charges. However, when we are dealing with Institutional Data at IU, we have strict protocol we have to follow. If you believe university data has been compromisd, or that you have been "hacked," report an emergency IT incident with UISO immediately. After that, come talk to the O'Neill IT Team. We will be here to help.
The O’Neill School provides all faculty and staff, as well as adjunct faculty and PhD/Masters students, with the technology equipment and support needed for academic, business, and research functions.
