O'Neill scholars to shine at PMRC 2026

Fredrik Andersson, Paolo Belardinelli, Lehn Benjamin, Christian Buerger, Nathan Cook, Aaron Deslatte, Denvil Duncan, Beth Gazley, Deanna Malatesta, Sanghee Park, and Amanda Rutherford.

A premier delegation of researchers and public management scholars from the Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs is convening in Washington, D.C., this week to present cutting-edge insights at the annual Public Management Research Conference.

The O'Neill School’s strong presence underscores its enduring commitment to shaping responsive and effective public institutions. This year’s conference features an expansive program addressing critical challenges in collaborative governance, public administration, and organizational performance.

“The outstanding researchers at the O’Neill School are always thrilled to present their groundbreaking work at conferences and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues,” said Siân Mooney, dean of the O’Neill School. “The PMRC is the latest opportunity for faculty to showcase their research that will make a real-world impact in communities around the country and the world.”

Among the faculty participating in the PMRC are Associate Professor Fredrik Andersson, Assistant Professor Paolo Belardinelli, Associate Professor Lehn Benjamin, Associate Professor Christian Buerger, Assistant Professor Nathan Cook, Associate Professor Aaron Deslatte, Professor Denvil Duncan, Professor Beth Gazley, Associate Professor Deanna Malatesta, Associate Professor Sanghee Park, and Associate Professor Amanda Rutherford.

Additionally, O’Neill Ph.D. students Faisal Cheema, Juwon Chung, Apoorva Gurtu, Courtney Hahm, Jiyoung Jun, Sewon Kim, Kyuwoong Kyeong, Katelyn Rousch, Karl Santiago, Jiaen Wu, and Yunchen Zhu will be participating.

PMRC 2026 will be held at American University June 4–6. The O’Neill School is a gold sponsor of the event and will be hosting the conference breakfast June 5.
