Turn your professional experience into graduate credit—and graduate sooner

Our degree is designed for working professionals—we’ll reward you for skills and experience that you have already mastered. Our prior professional experience credit lets you to earn a credit waiver (for up to 12 credits) based on the responsibility and length of your existing public affairs experience. If you are a member of the military community, you can also earn professional credit for your service.

Professional experience credit lowers the number of credits you’ll need to complete your MPA degree—decreasing your cost and allowing you to graduate sooner. For example, earning six professional experience credits will lower the number of credits to complete the MPA degree from 48 to 42 credit hours and save you approximately $6,000 in nonresident tuition.
