The first-ever O’Neill School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit, held in 2020, highlighted the transformative work O’Neill School students, faculty, staff, and alumni have been doing to address the critical challenges of systemic racism. The goal of the summit was to move beyond statements and performative displays to spur sustained change. We thank those who joined us for this inaugural two-day event.

Keynote Speaker Tamara Winfrey-Harris
Tamara Winfrey-Harris is the vice-president of community leadership and effective philanthropy at the Central Indiana Community Foundation and an author who specializes in the ever-evolving space where current events, politics and pop culture intersect with race and gender. She's written two books including Dear Black Girl: Letters from your Sisters on Stepping into Your Power and The Sisters are Alright: Changing the Broken Narrative of Black Women in America. Her work has been published in media outlets including The New York Times, The Atlantic, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, and The Los Angeles Times.
