
Biography
Genevieve Labe is the assistant director of health and wellness promotion at the IU Student Health Center. Labe has been doing LGBTQ+ advocacy for the past 15 years, focusing on at-risk young people, homelessness, sexual health education, and sexuality and gender education. They earned their Masters in Education at the University of Missouri while working for the Sexual Health Advocate Peer Education program. Labe continues to be a gender and sexuality educator for primary schools through institutions of higher education. In addition, they are an adjunct faculty for Public Health having taught Human Sexuality and Personal Health at Indiana University. More recently, Labe has been working with national and grassroots organizations to educate college campuses about Islamophobia, specifically in relationship with the LGBTQ+ community.
