Philippa Malmgren



The Honorable Dr. Philippa Malmgren is president and founder of London-based DRPM Group, an independent asset manager and advisor to investment banks, fund managers, hedge funds as well as pension funds, and global corporations. She is part owner of H Robotics, part of DRPM Group, a manufacturing firm in the UK that builds non-weaponized drones.

Dr. Malmgren served as an advisor on international economic issues to George W. Bush during his Presidential campaign, then joined the White House and served as special assistant to the president for economic policy on the National Economic Council. She was a member of the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets and the President’s Working Group on Corporate Governance. Dr. Malmgren oversaw liaison between the White House and financial regulators, including the Federal Reserve and the Securities Exchange Commission. She was assigned to the White House Office of Homeland Defense Working Group on Terrorism Risks to the Economy.

Dr. Malmgren earned a BA from Mount Vernon College and an MSc and a PhD from the London School of Economics.
